Runaway

The title of this blog post has nothing to do with the post itself. I was listening to “Runaway” by Del Shannon (one of my favorite songs from the 60’s), so that’s what came out when I started typing in the Title box. šŸ™‚

Today I woke up earlier than usual. This was because my boyfriend came into the bedroom asking quite loudly, “Where’s the Orajel, hun?”

I knew I remembered saying goodbye to him already this morning, and when I rolled over and looked at the clock I realized if he was getting ready for work he was going to be late at that point. After getting out of bed and finding the orajel, he told me he had already been on his way to work and had to turn around because he had a toothache so bad that he could hardly keep his eyes open to drive.

A couple hours and a couple hundred dollars later, he had a badly decayed tooth pulled out, and is now thankfully feeling better.

He is the strongest guy I know, and it was so strange to see him in such pain. I’m glad we managed to get him into the dentist quickly. Gotta get him on my dental plan soon.

Hope everyone had a good day. šŸ™‚ Brush your teeth!

Playing with Dough

I just finished writing anotherĀ five articles for my client, so I’m a bit tired of typing at the moment; however, I still wanted to post somethingĀ so I will share a fun playdough recipe with you today. I’m sure someone out there wants to make playdough today, right!? LoL.

Miss Nikki’s Playdough Recipe

Ingredients:Ā
1 cup Plain White Flour
1/2 Cup Salt
2 tsp Cream of TarTarĀ
1 cup Water
1 tsp Oil
*Add scents such as pumpkin spice, cocoa powder, nutmeg, or koolaid for fun.Ā
*Add your favorite food coloring (just a cpl drops)Ā
*Add glitter for some sparkle.Ā

* Mix ingredients together with a fork until smooth and one color. Pour mixture into pot, bring to boil over medium heat. Stir until thick and dough begins to form into aĀ ball. Take out and allow to cool. Knead for a few minutes, and store in airtight container.Ā

You can ask the kids if they wanna play with it too. What, you thought it was just for them?
